The 74LVC245A is an octal bus transceiver with direction pin and 5V tolerant input/outputs (3-state) pins. It's is designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. Inputs can be driven from either 3.3V or 5V devices. This allows 74LVC245A to work as a level translator in a mixed 3.3-V/5-V system environment. 

FEATURES

  • 5V tolerant inputs/outputs for interfacing with 5V logic
  • Wide operating voltage range: 1.65V - 3.6V
  • CMOS low power consumption
  • Direct interface with TTL levels
  • Inputs accept voltages up to 5.5V
  • High-impedance when VCC = 0V
  • Specified from -40 to +85 °C
